Each year during the week leading up to the Super Bowl, two studio hosts countdown the best, funniest and most outrageous Super Bowl commercials of all time. Plus, fans go online (https://www.cbs.com/shows/super-bowl-greatest-commercials/) to vote for their favorites. These adverts are typically considered the most famous, best and well-liked: Apple's 1984 commercial; Coke's heartwarming encounter between Mean Joe Greene and a young fan; Reebok's Terry Tate; the GoDaddy Girls; Budweiser's Bud Bowl; Pepsi's Cindy Crawford commercial; E*Trade's talking babies; Budweiser's Clydesdales; the monkeys of CareerBuilder.com; and more. Plus, this special previews new commercials for the upcoming Super Bowl.

The one-hour 2023 special, "Battle of the Decades," hosted again by Boomer Esiason and seven-time host Daniela Ruah premiered on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 8-9pm ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+. This year, Esiason and Ruah spotlight their all-time favorite commercials in each decade before selecting their individual picks for the greatest Super Bowl commercial in the last four decades. Then, America will crown the winner, chosen from the top two finalists in the LIVE vote, which will be revealed at the end of the show.

The special, which airs from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and State Farm Stadium, site of Super Bowl LVII in Arizona, also features exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at the most classic and memorable Super Bowl commercials from the last 40 years. The program includes iconic commercials from Budweiser, Coke, Pepsi and Doritos. Kevin Frazier reports on the new commercials that will air during this year's Super Bowl, highlighted by an exclusive interview with four-time Super Bowl Champion and five-time NFL Pro-Bowler Rob Gronkowski, who will attempt to kick a field goal during a live Super Bowl LVII commercial from FanDuel, the premier online gaming company in North America. Also, THE TALK's Akbar Gbajabiamila joins to provide his sideline commentary on his favorite spots.
