Plot Synopsis

SUPER DAD is a half-hour docuseries that follows comedian, father and DIY expert Taylor Calmus and his team of skilled builders, as they help aspiring DIY dads turn their kids' outrageous backyard dreams into playtime reality. From a pirate ship in the backyard to a custom ball launcher mounted to their family truck, Taylor and a fellow super dad get to work building these one-of-a-kind projects.

On Monday, January 4, 2021 -- the day that discovery+ launched -- the streaming service released the first 24-minute episode of SUPER DAD, which will debut later in 2021 on Magnolia Network. In this episode, "Skate Ramp for Six," Brandon Janous is adjusting to life following the passing of his wife. Wanting to give his three kids the backyard of their dreams, Brandon and Taylor build an epic skate ramp and climbing wall that includes a special tribute. On Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT, DIY Network aired the linear television debut of "Skate Ramp for Six," as a sneak peek for cable subscribers.

SUPER DAD had its official series debut on Thursday, July 15, 2021, as the Magnolia app -- on the day it launched -- released the entire eight-episode first season. The official linear TV series premiere of SUPER DAD was on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11am ET/PT on Magnolia Network.

Season 2 of SUPER DAD premiered on Friday, October 29, 2021, as the Magnolia app and discovery+ released the first episode of the new season. In the season opener, "Crazy About Camping," a father of three enlists the help of Taylor to create a structure in the woods near his home for his kids. Together, they create a larger-than-life, camp-inspired play area that embraces the great outdoors.
