Plot Synopsis

Hosted by extreme adventurer Colin O'Brady, each one-hour episode of SURVIVALISTS features two everyday families who put away technology and embark on a three-day survival immersion course in the wild to reconnect and repair their relationships. They win advantages through challenges, but to be successful -- and take home the $10,000 prize -- family members must trust each other and be vulnerable. After a 2.5-month break, SURVIVALISTS returned with new episodes on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 9pm ET on BYUtv. In the winter premiere, "Mayday! Dad Down!," Colin hosts the Garces family from Santa Paula, CA, and the Koenigs from Rockville, MD, on a three-day, 20-mile excursion over rough river water and unforgiving mountain terrain.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, BYUtv premiered the second season of SURVIVALISTS. In the season opener. "A Fight to the Finish," O'Brady hosts the Lutz-Carrillos from Austin, Texas, and the Serrator from Lake Forest, California, in a three-day, 19-mile expedition through the diverse and challenging Moab landscape. The Lutz-Carrillos hope to quell the family's constant bickering. The Serratos want their dad to learn that the kids need a father and not just a coach. The families will compete in the Knot, Water, and Animal Tracks challenge before racing through the General Store to get all the Essential Items and gear they need for their as they raft, rappel, and cross truly terrifying terrain. Who will learn to put differences aside, finish first and claim the $10,000 prize.

Season 3 of SURVIVALISTS debuted on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on BYUtv. This season, the Yoffees from Las Vegas, NV, and the Phillips from Hahnville, LA, attempt to beat the odds, endure the challenges of Baja, Mexico, and learn important life lessons. In the season opener, "Towering Dunes," the Yoffees communicate better and the Phillips rebuild trust.
