Plot Synopsis

Directed by Anne Sundberg and Ricki Stern, SURVIVING JEFFREY EPSTEIN is a two-part, four-hour documentary that investigates the billionaire New York financier who is alleged to have used his connections to the rich and famous to shield his predatory behavior with young girls. Revealing how Epstein set up a pseudo sexual Ponzi scheme to bring in underaged girls, the doc delves into the aftermath the survivors are experiencing with no justice to be served. SURVIVING JEFFREY EPSTEIN premieres consecutive nights: Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 8-10pm ET/PT and Monday, August 10, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT.

"Lured" (Sunday, August 9, 2020 @ 8pm): Several survivors detail the story of Jeffrey Epstein, the mysterious billionaire on Palm Beach Island, Florida, who lured them, as young teenagers, to his home through an elaborate series of female recruiters they thought they could trust.

"Trapped" (Sunday, August 9, 2020 @ 9pm): More survivors untangle the complex and insidious sex trafficking scheme that ensnared them as trusting young women pursuing their dreams, including never before told stories.

"No Way Out" (Monday, August 10, 2020 @ 9pm): Over the course of three decades, Epstein's sex trafficking operation becomes a well-oiled machine--survivors reveal their experiences on Jeffrey's private island, where his most egregious abuses flourished without scrutiny.

"Avenged" (Monday, August 10, 2020 @ 10pm): With Jeffrey Epstein deceased, the survivors continue to seek justice and finally see a glimmer of hope with the shocking arrest of alleged co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell on July 2. The survivors further reveal what this means for them and their paths forward.

Lifetime has partnered with RISE to run a special Public Service Announcement (PSA) during the airings of the documentary to encourage other survivors to use their voice to RISE UP and help establish Survivors Bills of Rights in their states. Lifetime will also run a PSA from RAINN to provide hotline resources for those in need
