Plot Synopsis

Fielding distress calls from family, friends and neighbors across the South, SWAMP PEOPLE's Troy Landry teams with local experts in a wild chase to help save America from hostile, menacing and often mysterious creatures. It's a battle of wills between a legendary man and beasts. Landry's travels lead him to confront "El Diablo," a behemoth gator on the attack in Mississippi; "Garzilla," a man-sized garfish with a taste for flesh in Louisiana; feral hogs in Texas; bull sharks in Louisiana; and pythons fighting gators in Florida -- just a few of the many animals and locations investigated in each one-hour episode of SWAMP MYSTERIES. Using years of alligator hunting experience, Landry aids in tackling the threat posed by these intimidating animals as he discovers who they are and the myths behind them, and witnesses first-hand the havoc they can wreak on the environment, property and even residents. SWAMP MYSTERIES premieres at 10pm ET/PT on Thursday, June 7, 2018 on History, and moves to its regular timeslot -- Thursdays at 9pm -- the following week.

Season 2 of SWAMP MYSTERIES WITH TROY LANDRY premiered on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 9:30-10:30pm ET/PT on History Channel. In the season opener, "Voodoo Hogs," Troy gets a call from a local rancher with a huge problem. Feral hogs are tearing his property apart, and no matter what he does, he can't get rid of them. Some say the ranch is cursed. Troy recruits veteran hunters Daniel Edgar and Anna Ribbeck to stop the hog invasion... no matter what it takes.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 9:35pm ET/PT, History Channel premiered "Skunk Ape," the Season 2 finale of SWAMP MYSTERIES WITH TROY LANDRY. Deep in the Everglades, Troy recruits an army of swampers to investigate strange noises and reports of a possible beast known as the Skunk Ape probing his friend Dusty's homestead.
