Plot Synopsis

Over the course of six half-hour episodes filmed at his home, Michael Symon digs into a variety of dishes perfect for cooking outdoors as the summer weather kicks in all across the country. From traditionally grilled foods such as sticky ribs, steak and BBQ chicken, to unconventional entrees like meatball parmesan, chicken and dumplings, and even bananas foster and a tart apple crisp, for themselves and their families. Michael also shares tips and tricks for working an everyday backyard grill to create amazing food for all to enjoy. SYMON'S DINNERS COOKING OUT has its first three episodes debut on linear television on Sundays at 12:30pm ET/PT on Food Network from June 7 through June 21. The final three episodes launched weekly on the Food Network Kitchen app, starting Monday, June 22.

Season 3 of SYMON'S DINNERS COOKING OUT premiered on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Mother's Chops," some of Michael Symon's best dishes are influenced by the women around him, so he's dedicating his meal to them. He starts with Grilled Lamb Chops with Rosemary Salt, inspired by his mother. A side of Grilled Halloumi and Watermelon Kabobs are his daughter-in-law's favorite dish off the grill, and Michael has a childhood memory of declaring it "squeaky cheese" with his sister. Finally, after spending many years as a vegetarian, Chickpea Salad remains one of Michael's wife Lizzie's favorite dishes, so she joins him to show him how it's done.
SYMON'S DINNERS COOKING OUT returned for its fourth season on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Tastes Like Summer," Michael Symon gets corny with some summery dishes. He kicks dinner off with Fried Clams with Tartar Dipping Sauce as the main dish before whipping up a Corn and Avocado Salad on the side. Corn makes a surprise return for dessert when Liz sweetens things up with a Sweet Corn Panna Cotta.
