Plot Synopsis

Dominic Gill documents his 4500-mile, 104-day adventure across America -- from Santa Monica Pier in California through Yellowstone Park and the Badlands in South Dakota and ending in New York's Central Park -- as he rides a specially-adapted tandem bike that he shares with ten companion adventurers with varying disabilities. Kelly Lane is a 59-year-old who suffers from Parkinsons Disease, but he cycles from Rapid City, South Dakota to Minneapolis, Minnesota, which allows him to temporarily eliminate the symptoms of his disease. Other companions include: Ryan, who has a traumatic brain injury; Carlos, who is visually impaired; brother Warren and Chad Woodbury, who have muscular dystrophy; Rachel, who has cerebral palsy; and more.
