Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Dallas pastor T.D. Jakes, this daily one-hour talk show is faith-based but secular, focusing on headline topics and top news items instead of religious topics. In addition to drawing on his time as a pastor, Jakes leverages his experience as an entrepreneur and businessman. In one episode, Jakes assembles a panel of five women -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland, Eric Garner and Tamir Rice -- to discuss their children and their lives, providing them a forum to reveal never-before-heard personal details. T.D. JAKES received a four-week test run -- from Monday. August 17 through Friday, September 11, 2015 -- on TEGNA stations (formerly known as Gannett Broadcasting) in Dallas (Channel 8 @ 3pm); Atlanta (Channel 11 @ 2pm); Cleveland (Channel 3 @ 3pm); and Minneapolis (Channel 11 @ 2pm).
