Plot Synopsis

Based on the web series of the same name, TEACHERS is a half-hour comedy series that revolves around six school teachers at Fillmore Elementary who are trying to mold the minds and lives of America's youth, even though they don't really seem to have their own lives together at all. From refusing to read fairytales because "sometimes Prince Charming wants to date other people" to hitting on the resident "hot dad" and from making their class Facebook-stalk an ex-boyfriend to hooking up with the school janitor, these teachers are certainly changing the world -- one student at a time. In the pilot episode, which features executive producer Alison Brie as Lauren Lark, the teachers are put in charge of preventing bullying at Fillmore; meanwhile, Mrs. Adler confronts her past as a tortured teen. In addition to Brie, guest stars for Season 1 include Rob Riggle, Lacey Chabert, Jesse Bradford, Tim Bagley, Sam Richardson, and Trevor Larcom. On Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 11:30pm ET/PT -- immediately after the 2015 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS -- TV Land premiered a sneak-peek episode of this series, which is scheduled to have its official series debut on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11pm ET/PT on TV Land. TEACHERS is written by and stars The Katydids, who wrote and acted in the web series and are each named a version of "Katie."

The 20-episode second season of TEACHERS premiered on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on TV Land. In the season opener, "First Day Back," as the teachers return from summer break, Ms. Watson tries an ultra premium online dating service and Ms. Snap learns that she's been given the worst group of kids in school. Mrs. Adler is assigned to a mobile classroom. Guest stars for Season 2 include Haley Joel Osment as Mrs. Adler's husband, Ryan Hansen as Ms. Snap's rival in a school council race, Jessica St. Clair as the school counselor, and more surprising appearances and cameos by famous faces in comedy, pop culture and music, including Lisa Loeb, Coolio and more. After a seven-month break, TEACHERS returned with new Season 2 episodes on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on TV Land. In the mid-season premiere, "Dosey Don't," Ms. Bennigan is worried that Hot Dad is back together with his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Ms. Snap uses the school dance to impress a famous radio host.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10:35pm ET/PT, TV Land premiered the third season of TEACHERS. Fillmore Elementary educators are back in session with their hilarious antics after a much-needed long recess, and the leaders of the playground are ready to conquer a new school year. In the season opener, "Hello, Goodbye," Mrs. Adler discovers an unwanted visitor in her trailer, while Ms. Watson finds herself newly poor, putting the Back to School Mixer in jeopardy. After a five-month break, TEACHERS returned for its mid-season premiere on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on TV Land. In the winter premiere, "Thoughts and Bears," a neighbor moves in next door to Fillmore, but his proud ownership of a dangerous item is concerning to the Teachers. Ms. Watson, fresh off her breakup with Toby, finally has to face him.
