Plot Synopsis
Hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila with co-host Alex Curry, TEAM NINJA WARRIOR features America's fittest athletes competing head-to-head in 24 squads of three on an obstacle course built for two. In the first six one-hour episodes of TEAM NINJA WARRIOR, four different teams see their teammates individually race directly against the opposing team's players through a brutal obstacle course. Each individual win gives the team more points, and at the end of the episode, the two teams left standing will face-off, with the winner of that final relay showdown moving on to the TEAM NINJA WARRIOR finals. The dual running course incorporates speed, superhuman agility, skill and -- because the competitor's paths literally cross as they are racing through the obstacles -- a whole new strategy to the game. The 24 teams, each comprised of one female and two male athletes, include the following (with team captains listed first): Team Alpha (Brent Steffensen, Even Dollard & Kacy Catanzaro); Ronin (Flip Rodriguez, JJ Woods & Tiana Webberly); Karsonic Boom (Karson Voiles, Brandon Berrett & Beth Higginbotham); Think Tank (Noah Kaufman, Matt Wilder & Asya Grechka); Wild Bunch (Lance Pekus, Ben Melick & Rose Wetzel); Stratisfaction (Ryan Stratis, Grace Jones & Mike Bernardo); Expendabulls (Kevin Bull, Alan Connealy & Luci Romberg); Tre's Amigoz (Tremayne Dortch, Andy Lowes & Cassandra Dortch); Midoryama (Ian Dory, Dan Yager & Meagan Martin); Towers Of Power (Brandon Mears, Dan Polizzi & Selena Laniel); Golden Hearts (Neil Craver, Grant McCartney & Natalie Duran); Nor Cal Ninjas (David Campbell, Sean Noble & Rachel Mulvaney); Storm Team Moravsky (Joe Moravsky, Rob Moravsky & Marybeth Wang); The Average Jojos (Jojo Bynum, James Bogle Jr. & Caitlin Shukwit); G-Force (Jessie Graff, Nicholas Coolridge & Travis Brewer); TEAM TNT (Travis Rosen, Adam Arnold & Joyce Shahboz); The Real Life Beasts (Drew Drechsel, James Mcgrath & Erica Cook); Invinci-Abel (Abel Gonzalez, Nathan Jasso & Jeri D'Aurelio); The Rahn-Aways (Jamie Rahn, Adam Grossman & Courtney Venuti); Party Time (Brian Arnold, Jake Murray & Jennifer Tavernier); Team Brittens (Geoff Britten, Dustin McKinney & Jessica Britten); Elet-Trikz (Elet Hall, Dillon Gates & Cassie Craig); The Iron Grip (Sam Sann, Daniel Gil & Richelle Hepler); and The Lab Rats (Brian Wilczewski, Chris Wilczewski & Michelle Warnky). TEAM NINJA WARRIOR officially premieres on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 8pm on Esquire Network. The second season of TEAM NINJA WARRIOR premiered on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on a new network -- USA Network -- with hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila and co-host Alex Curry all returning for a new season. For Season 2, fan-favorite competitors from AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR form 28 teams, each with two men and one woman, and settle their rivalries on the warped wall -- for ultimate ninja bragging rights.
