Plot Synopsis

TECHSTARS is a 30-minute reality series that follows entrepreneurs in TechStars' New York-based boot camp for start ups, as they vie for a five-million-dollar infusion of cash from investors. Ten up-and-coming companies are in the middle of the grueling process of building a business from the ground up, and their founders and CEOs get guidance from the top names in tech -- from Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and more -- while being judged at every step of the process. Whether they're learning about marketing or fundraising, the entrepreneurs try to gain at least two years of experience in only two weeks. From the 600 start-ups that applied, these 10 companies were chosen for the boot camp: Improffice; Red Rover; Friendslist; Urban Apt.; To Vie For; Relusions; Socrated; OnSwipe; Wiji; Homefield; CrowdTwist. The mentors include: Brad Field; Dennis Crowley; Fred Wilson; Mark Suster; Gary Vaynerchuk; Alan Patricof; Andy Weissman; Ben Lerer; Jeff Clavier; Alexandra Wilkis Wilson; Chris Dixon; Jerry Levin; Roger Ehrenberg; Howard Lindzon; David Pakman; Vin Vacanti; Eric Paley; Howard Morgan; Jason Mendelson; Joanne Wilson; Darren Herman; Jerry Colonna; Joel Spolsky; Gregory Galant; Josh Stylman; Katie Rae; Mosehe Koyfman; Andy Sack; Micah Rosenbloom; Rachel Sklar; Seth Levine; Zach Klein.
