Plot Synopsis

TELL ME A STORY is an anthology series that combines and re-imagines beloved fairy tales as dark and twisted psychological thrillers. Set in modern-day New York City, the first season interweaves "The Three Little Pigs," "Little Red Riding Hood," and "Hansel and Gretel" into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder. Troubled teen Kayla and her dad, Tim, try to make a fresh start at grandmother Colleen's home. Estranged siblings Gabe and Hannah are reunited under extreme circumstances. Jordan and his girlfriend Beth can't see eye-to-eye on their future together. CBS All Access released the series opener, "Hope," at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Halloween 2018 (October 31). Subsequent episodes are released Thursdays, beginning November 8. TELL ME A STORY had its linear television premiere on July 28, 2020 on The CW, airing Tuesdays at 9pm through September 29, 2020.

The sophomore season of TELL ME A STORY premiered on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as CBS All Access released the first installment of the new 10-episode season. In the season opener, "The Curse," rising country music star Ashley Rose Pruitt (guest star Natalie Alyn Lind) celebrates the launch of her debut album but a tragic event threatens to derail it all. Under the disapproving eye of his mother, Rebecca Pruitt (guest star Carrie-Anne Moss), troubled musician Jackson Pruitt (guest star Matt Lauria) tries to break old habits when an intriguing stranger enters his life. Meanwhile, Maddie Pruitt (guest star Odette Annable) attempts to hold her family together amidst a growing disconnect with her fiancee Tucker (guest star Paul Wesley), a struggling novelist. Additional guest stars in Season 2 include: Eka Darville as Beau Morris and Ashley Madekwe as Simone Garland. In addition, Danielle Campbell returns to TELL ME A STORY this season in a recurring role, as Olivia Moon. Garcelle Beauvais as Veronica Garland, Caleb Castille as Ron, and Christopher Meyer as Derek round out the cast with recurring roles.
