Plot Synopsis

Each film of TEN X TEN explores the nature of human relationships, specifically themes of love and lust, told by characters at different stages in their lives. In each black-and-white film, the character talks directly to the camera/viewer. The ten 10-minute films include stories told by: a woman in her 20s (played by Louisa Krause), who shares how she takes control of her sexual identity; a woman in her 30s (played by Maggie Grace), who shares a story about a college friend killed in a car accident while texting; a woman in her 40s (played by Jenna Fischer), who talks about the abuse of her husband and life with her new partner; a woman in her 50s (played by Amy Madigan), who confesses to slowly having lost her will to live and asks a visitor for some spiritual help; a woman in her 60s (played by Judith Light), who recalls the "man who got away," discusses her former marriage and her new boyfriend; a man in his 20s (played by Adam Brody), who talks about his ideal woman and his impending hair loss; a man in his 30s (played by Fred Weller), who relays the story of an encounter he had with a woman sitting next to him on a flight; a man in his 40s (played by Jason Patric), who recounts the tale of a fight between parents that he was involved in at a little league game; a man in his 50s (played by Richard Kind), who shares his feelings about his long-time marriage and his views on same-sex marriage; and a man in his 60s (played by Bill Pullman), who considers the ever-changing culture around him and his evolving views on love and life. DirecTV's Audience Channel premiered this series of 10 shorts on two nights: the first five on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 and the last five three weeks later on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
