Plot Synopsis

Hank Dolworth is an ex-cop who just lost his job and his wife Gretchen. His best friend Britt Pollack is a non-violent criminal who doesn't really have anything to lose, but he does have a girlfriend, Katie. Together, they start an unlicensed private investigation business in the blue-collar town of Ocean Beach, California, where they solve cases and often find themselves in positions beyond their capabilities. Fortunately, they can lean on Hank's former colleague, Det. Mark Gustafson, for help.
