Plot Synopsis

After covering Thanksgiving parades from across America for more than 50 years, CBS changed its coverage in 2003 to solely cover the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City, with musical performances by fan-favorite entertainers.

THE 2023 THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS was hosted by Kevin Frazier for the 13th straight year with nine-time co-host Keltie Knight. CBS broadcast the event on Thursday, November 23, 2023 live in most time zones (9am-Noon ET/PT; 8-11am CT; 7-10am MT). The three-hour special features portions of the 96th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, where Frazier and Knight anchor from a site along the parade route in New York City.

In addition to her co-hosting duties, Knight will be making her "Broadway debut" as she stars as leading lady Roxie Hart in a once-in-a-lifetime performance with the cast of "Chicago," the longest-running musical now playing on Broadway, celebrating its 27th year as a Broadway and New York institution. The special also features performances by the casts of the hit Broadway musicals "A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical" and Disney's "Aladdin," celebrating its 10th anniversary on Broadway.
