TIME100: THE WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE is an annual one-hour television special that year's full list of "Time" magazine's most influential people, featuring exclusive interviews, in-depth profiles, musical performances, honorary tributes, surprise appearances from previous honorees, and more.

Each year since 2004, "Time" magazine has presented its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world -- from artists and leaders to pioneers, titans and icons. How did they select the first group of honorees? They "identified three rather distinct qualities among those who shape our lives. First there were those who came to their status by means of a very public possession of power. Others, though they are rarely heard from in public, nonetheless have a real influence on the great events of our time. Still others affect our lives through their moral example."

In 2020, ABC debuted the inaugural TIME100 special, as "Time" revealed that year's most influential people in the world with an hour-long television event on ABC on Tuesday, September 22 at 10pm ET/PT.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 7pm ET/PT, ABC premiered TIME100: THE WORLD'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF 2023, taking viewers inside the 17th annual TIME100 Gala, which is hosted by Jennifer Coolidge and features performances by by Doja Cat and Lea Michele, as well as honorary tributes from members of this year's list, remarks from TIME CEO Jessica Sibley, and more. The evening also featured honorary tributes from members of this year's list including Michael B. Jordan, Natasha Lyonne, Tracie D. Hall, and Angela Bassett, appearances from celebrities and other notable individuals including Tiffany Haddish and Amy Poehler.
