Plot Synopsis

Created by Halder Gomez, TIME HUSTLER is a comedy series that centers on Virguley, who, being hit in the head, wakes up in 1927 to discover that he's the spitting image of a famous bandit -- and decides to make the most of it. Virguley is a jack-of-all-trades always getting into trouble and trying to make ends meet in Sao Paulo. But he dreams of returning home to the Northeast as a rich man. Between jobs, he takes advantage of his resemblance to Lampiao to put on shows in public in Sao Paulo. One day, after getting into yet another sticky situation, he gets smacked in the ear and ends up all the way back in 1927, in the midst of the bandit era, where the locals take him for the real Lampiao. Taking advantage of the confusion, Virguley gathers a gang like none other, falls in love with Maria and becomes a powerful man in the town. But since nothing in the life of this scoundrel good-for-nothing is easy, the story has twists and turns, including the true King of the Bandits showing up to put an end to this tale. All seven episodes of TIME HUSTLER dropped on Christmas Day 2022 (Sunday, December 25) on Netflix.
