Plot Synopsis

THE TOM AND JERRY SHOW is a 30-minute animated series that features a silent and antagonistic pair of animal friends, Tom and Jerry, in newly-animated cat-and-mouse adventures that preserve the sensibilities of the original theatrical shorts. Comprised of two 11-minute elements, each half-hour episode follows Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse plotting against each other -- with Tom's determination matched only by Jerry's own cleverness in evading capture. But this time the cartoon mayhem is not limited to Tom and Jerry's familiar suburban setting, because the series includes more locations, like a witch's cabin and a mad scientist's lab. But when they are at home, they encounter well-known characters, such as Spike the American the Bulldog and Butch the alleycat, plus Ginger and Rick, the lady and man of the house, respectively.

Cartoon Network aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 5:30pm ET/PT, with an episode that featured these two stories: "Spike Gets Schooled," during which Tom gets Spike sent to obedience school, leaving Jerry without a protector; and "Cat's Ruffled Fur-niture," as Tom is under strict orders to not wake the Witch sisters, but Jerry is set on getting Tom in trouble.
