Plot Synopsis

TONY ORLANDO AND DAWN is a variety/sketch series that started as a replacement for the SONNY & CHER COMEDY HOUR. Each episode showcased the musical trio -- consisting of Tony Orlando, Telma Hopkins, and Joyce Vincent Wilson -- and their blend of music, comedy, and heartfelt moments. From their signature hit songs like "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree" to their comedy sketches and dance routines, Tony Orlando and Dawn welcomed an impressive array of guest stars, including legendary musicians such as Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, and Johnny Cash, who graced the stage to collaborate with the trio. Also, notable actors and actresses like Lucille Ball, John Wayne, Jackie Gleason, and Betty White and comedians like George Carlin engaged in comedy bits.
