Plot Synopsis

Armed only with his keen sense of taste, investigative skills and a mobile food science lab, famous food hacker Todd Wilbur tries to recreate secret recipes of iconic American brands. In each one-hour episode, Todd takes on the challenge to replicate a single famous recipe. He starts by meeting the CEO at corporate headquarters, and then uses every means possible to crack that company's secret recipe -- using his undercover mobile food lab to identify ingredients, disguising himself so he can visit retail store visits, spying on preparation techniques, pumping employees for information on crucial steps and talking his way into high security areas. Then, by mixing his investigative findings with his kitchen know-how and a little trial and error, Todd creates his best knock-off clone in an attempt to fool three expert judges in a taste test against the real thing. Todd tries to recreate famous recipes for the following brands: KFC; Cinnabon; Outback Steakhouse; Domino's Pizza; Dippin' Dots; Mrs. Fields; Chili's; and PF Changs.
