Plot Synopsis

Martin Bohm is a widower and single father, who is haunted by an inability to connect to his mute pre-teen son, Jake, but everything changes when he discovers that Jake possesses the gift of staggering genius -- the ability to see things that no one else can and the patterns that connect seemingly unrelated events. After multiple failed attempts at keeping Jake in school, a social worker, Clea Hopkins, visits to evaluate Jake's well-being. She finds that Jake is indeed communicating -- but it's not with words, it's with numbers. Now, it's up to Martin to decipher the meaning of the numbers and connect them to the cast of characters whose lives they affect. Along the way, Martin is guided by Arthur Teller, a discredited aging professor who offers Martin a compelling but unorthodox theory about Jake and his rare ability. FOX aired a special preview episode of TOUCH on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 9pm ET/PT. When TOUCH returned for its second season on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT with back-to-back new episodes, the action shifted from New York to Los Angeles, where Martin and Jake decipher clues about a global conspiracy involving a mother in search of her missing teenage daughter; a mathematical genius; and a religious zealot assassinating others with abilities like Jake's.
