Plot Synopsis

TOWN OF THE LIVING DEAD is a half-hour reality series that follows the intrepid and motley crew of amateur filmmakers in Jasper, Alabama, as they struggle against every obstacle imaginable to get to a final cut of their zombie flick, THR33 DAYS DEAD, which could someday become a Syfy movie. Based on a town urban legend, their film centers on a group of friends trying to survive a zombie apocalypse in rural Alabama. Now six long years in the making, these folks are determined, once and for all, to complete their film. The cast and crew include: producer Tina Teeter, a grandmother of four known as the "Mombie," who never expected to end up producing an independent zombie film and has sunk over $20,000 of her own money into the film; writer/director John M. Ware, a lifelong horror junkie and Jasper native, who is fulfilling his life's dream by finally making his own zombie film -- even after suffering setbacks, like the stroke he had a year earlier that shut down production for 6 months; lead actor Bryan Boylen, the only professional (or aspiring professional) actor in the cast, who dreams one day of being a real working actor; co-star Chase Lawrence, the baby of the group, who is an aspiring Cosplay photographer living at home with his momma; Terry Hunter, the film's special effects coordinator and lead makeup artist, who's work on the film is a far cry from his desk job at a local bank; lead actress Catie Teeter, the 4th actress to play the lead female role of Valerie in the film, whose unexpected pregnancy with her first child held up production...again; Laura Bramblette, the assistant to the producer, who is the lead zombie coach, responsible for teaching any extras they can get to show up how to act dead; and others like actor Michael Haygood, Chance Mason, Miranda Walker and more.
