Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Alan Cumming and based on the Dutch TV series DE VERRADERS, THE TRAITORS is a 10-episode reality series that features 20 larger-than-life personalities (including reality A-listers and America's best game players) who come together to complete a series of challenges with the objective of earning a cash prize of up to $250,000. The catch? Three of the contestants coined "the traitors" devise a plan to steal the prize from the other contestants coined "the faithful." Set in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands, this game of manipulation and deceit, has Cumming pulling the strings of the cast to create the ultimate 'whodunit'. All 10 episodes of THE TRAITORS dropped on Thursday, January 12, 2023 on HBO Max. Competitors include:

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Peacock released the one-hour reunion episode, featuring the cast of THE TRAITORS settling the score on all the lies, murders, banishments, and treachery. The Season 1 Reunion is hosted by Andy Cohen.

THE TRAITORS has been renewed for a second season.
