Plot Synopsis

A group of Autobots, too young to protect humanity alongside Optimus Prime and his team, are partnered with a close-knit human family of first responders. The Rescue Bots -- Heatwave, Boulder, Blades and Chase -- team with the Burns family of first responders, including a police chief, firefighter, rescue pilot and engineer to keep peace and safety in the city on a technologically advanced island. Together, they learn teamwork and heroism alongside their new human friends. The Hub aired a sneak preview of this series with back-to-back half-hour episodes on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Noon ET/PT, two months before the official series premiere on Saturday, February 18, 2012. RESCUE BOTS returned for its second season on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1pm ET/PT on The Hub, with back-to-back new episodes. In the Season 2 opener, "Road Trip," a tricky transporter takes Cody for a crazy ride and Kade took on a high-flying rescue mission. Immediately afterwards, in the "Sky Forest" episode, Cody and Frankie went head to head in a town inventor contest, leading to a jealous divide between the two. Season 3 premiered on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1pm ET/10am PT, as the Discovery Family channel (formerly The Hub network) aired back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener, "Land Before Prime," Optimus must accept the primal side within him when the Rescue Bots come across and island full of dinosaurs. Then, in "Big Game," the second new episode of the season, Optimus Prime's new Dinosaur Mode becomes the target of a big game hunter, who has set his eyes on Optimus' new skill. Season 4 of RESCUE BOTS premiered on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 8-9am ET/PT, as Discovery Family debuted back-to-back new episodes. In addition to celebrating its 100th episode milestone this season, the series also introduces two new characters: the first-ever female Rescue Bot, Quickshadow, voiced by Alex Kingston and Chickadee, voiced by Kristen Schaal. In th eback-to-back premiere episodes, "New Normal" and "Bridge Building," the invasion of an evil alien race forces the Rescue Bots to reveal their true extraterrestrial identities to the citizens of Griffin Rock. But before the townspeople vote on whether to let the robots in disguise stay in their town, the Auto Bots are transported to the Sahara Desert and must band together with their human counterparts to get home safely. Throughout the season, the Bots work tirelessly on a new project, construction of the Mainland Training Center and continue to test the powerful Groundbridge portal that allows them to transport between their firehouse headquarters and training center.
On Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 8:30am ET/PT, Discovery Family premiered the 100th episode of TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS. In this milestone episode, Kade's idol, a pompous movie star, causes trouble for the Rescue Team who are trying to solve a series of mysterious break-ins.
