Chapter 1: Siege Chapter 2: Earthrise Chapter 3: Kingdom
Plot Synopsis
TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY is a half-hour animated series told in three chapters.
On Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the six-episode first chapter, "Chapter 1: Siege," which raises the stakes of the Autobot and Decepticon war. Chapter 1 begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to "reformat" the Autobots, thus "unifying" Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under siege, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.
The six-episode second chapter, "Earthrise," debuted on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. With the Allspark missing, and the Ark marooned in deep space, Optimus Prime and the surviving Autobots run a desperate race against time while they contend against an independent group of Transformers called the Mercenaries, as well as the wrath of a desperate Megatron. Chapter 2 opens with Megatron, who believes the Allspark destroyed, planning to flee the dying planet -- but at great cost. Elita's plan to free some prisoners hits a snag. Mercenary Transformers come upon the Ark adrift in space. As unlikely allies arrive to rescue the imprisoned Autobots, Megatron reveals Project Nemesis.
The third and final chapter, "Kingdom," dropped on Thursday, July 29, 2021, as Netflix released all six episodes of Chapter 3. Having crash-landed on Earth, the Autobots and Decepticons are confronted by two rival Cybertronian factions from a future that their conflict has inadvertently created, as the heroes and villains of the classic BEAST WARS: TRANSFORMERS series make their WAR FOR CYBERTRON debut. Now the Autobots must team up with the Maximals to confront the Decepticons, who have joined forces with the Predacons, in the race to find the missing AllSpark. However, the Predacons are in control of the Golden Disk, a mysterious artifact which has a personal connection to Megatron and gives him an untold advantage over his enemy, Optimus Prime. Which faction will triumph in the final battle that will decide the fate of Cybertron's future?
