Plot Synopsis

TRUE ALASKA is a half-hour reality series that follows bush pilot Ariel Tweto, as she seeks out the larger-than-life characters and otherworldly places of Alaska. Whether it's in the air, on the water or inside a glacier, there is always a new adventure in the remote Alaskan wilderness. On Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11pm ET/PT, Travel Channel premiered the series pilot, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, "Gold Fever, Glacier Caves and Fish Camp," Ariel touches down in the remote Alaskan wilderness to make some stories of her own; panning for gold on a mobile mining rig; the annual salmon run; exploring an icy new world beneath a glacier.
