Plot Synopsis

TURN & BURN is a reality series that follows custom-car craftsman Brother JD, as he and his crew at El Rey's Garage restore classic cars for budget-minded customers. After playing bass in a band that toured across America, Brother JD went back to school to study cars and metal work in Venice, CA. While working at local car dealership, he was customizing pre-1974 American cars and trucks on the side, and his side business, which started in his living room, eventually grew into El Rey's Garage. Now, he can express his all-American, hillbilly-hoodrat style on the cars, trucks, bikes, and music he works on. In each 60-minute episode, Brother JD and his crew, which includes paint specialist Willie the Pearl, perform one or two budget-friendly restorations, which they call 5k flips, because they cost less than $5,000. To complete these inexpensive but classy transformations, they must scour junkyard goldmines for the perfect vehicle; hustle, haggle, and barter for hard-to-find parts; and work their artistic magic to create badass bruisers. In this series, the crew at El Rey's work on: a 1955 Pontiac Star Chief; a 1967 Buick Riviera; a '70s Chevy El Camino; and many more cars and bikes they transform into street-envy custom rides.
