Plot Synopsis

Based on Lena Waithe's YouTube series of the same name, TWENTIES is a half-hour comedy series that follows the adventures of a queer black girl, Hattie, and her two straight best friends, Marie and Nia, who spend most of their days talking ish and chasing their dreams during early adulthood in Los Angeles. The series explores friendship, finding love and messing everything up along the way. TWENTIES premiered on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 10-11pm ET/PT on BET and BET Her, with back-to-back episodes.

The sophomore season of TWENTIES premiered on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on BET Her. In the season opener, "One Night Only?," Hattie juggles working on her script, settling into a new place, and trying to make it work with Ida B. Meanwhile, Nia starts her first day on Cocoa's Butter, and Marie questions her relationship with Chuck.

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT, BET premiered "How Do You Feel?," the Season 2 finale of TWENTIES, with a simulcast on BET Her. Hattie and the gang attend Hattie's father's comedy show; Hattie learns new things about herself and her father, Marie finds comfort in being alone, and Nia builds her relationship with Vanessa.
