Plot Synopsis

After spending five years in juvenile detention, 16-year-old Danny Desai reconnects with two female childhood friends, Jo and Lacey, but he becomes the prime suspect when a fellow student is surprisingly found dead in her home, putting the town into a frenzy of suspicion and mystery. Plus, Danny wants to smooth over tensions with his mother, Karen, whose socialite status plummeted after her son's imprisonment and the mysterious disappearance of her husband, Danny's father. Danny is surprised to learn that Jo and Lacey have grown apart; now at opposite ends of the social spectrum, the former inseparable friends barely speak. Lacey is popular, dating the captain of the soccer team, Archie. Jo struggles to put the trauma of the past behind her and to ease the concerns of her closest friend, Rico, and her protective parents, Tess and Kyle, who also happens to be the town sheriff. Wary but wanting to give Danny a second chance, Jo demands answers about the motive behind his childhood crime, which Danny stubbornly won't -- or can't -- divulge. When a fellow student is found dead in her home, Danny instantly becomes the prime suspect and Jo and Lacey must decide if their childhood friend is unforgivable, or if he's really a victim being persecuted for his own twisted secrets. ABC Family aired a sneak-peek episode of this series on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT, immediately after the Season 3 finale of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS. TWISTED's official series premiere is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT.

On Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, TWISTED returned with its Season 1 Winter premiere. In the first episode back, Jo is still struggling with her conflicted feelings about Danny when he turns to her for help while hiding out from the police. Danny overhears some surprising information about his father, which leads him on a quest to find out if his father is indeed alive. Lacey brings some information to Kyle regarding Regina, which she doesn't realize points to a surprising new suspect in Regina's murder. And Danny shocks Jo and Lacey when he finally reveals the details of what happened with his Aunt Tara all those years ago.
