Plot Synopsis

This series follows Junior dos Santos (14-1; 8-0 UFC) and Frank Mir (16-5; 14-5 UFC) as they prepare for their heavyweight bout at UFC 146 on May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. These two fighters are competing for the UFC Heavyweight Championship -- the title Junior dos Santos secured by defeating Cain Velasquez via KO at UFC on Fox 1 on November 12, 2011, and the title once held by Frank Mir after he stopped Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 92 on December 27, 2008 and later lost to Brock Lesnar at UFC 100 nearly seven months later. Dos Santos was originally scheduled to fight former Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem until Overeem's pre-fight drug test showed elevated levels of testosterone and was later denied a license to fight by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
