Plot Synopsis

UFOS: INVESTIGATING THE UNKNOWN is a one-hour docuseries that exposes the truth behind the U.S. government's secret Pentagon program on UAPs, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (aka UFOs). For more than five decades the US government has refused to discuss UFOs, but now, Navy pilots tell of seeing mysterious objects tracking their fighter jets -- vehicles unlike anything they've ever seen before; top-secret Naval videos are leaked that captivate the world. Government officials, led by former U.S. Senator Harry Reid, demand an investigation. This series explores what the government made public versus what was kept hidden, citizens' push for transparency while confronting mass UFO sightings, Navy pilots' reports of unexplainable technology, new cutting-edge scientific efforts, and what the future might hold for this confounding mystery which is the focus of a deepening and expanding search for answers. At long last, it looks like the truth about UFOs may finally be revealed. Back-to-back new episodes debuted from 9-11pm ET/PT on Monday, February 13, 2023 and Monday, February 20, with the finale at 9pm on February 27 on National Geographic Channel. The five episodes in Season 1 include:

"Secret Pentagon Program" (Monday, February 13, 2023 at 9pm): The U.S. Government's secret Pentagon program on UFOs is exposed.

"Giant UFO in Texas" (Monday, February 13, 2023 at 10pm): Project Blue Book is launched to study the country's growing UFO problem.

"Close Encounters at Nuclear Bases" (Monday, February 20, 2023 at 9pm): U.S. nuclear missiles malfunction after a close encounter with UFOs.

"Citizens Take Charge" (Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10pm): More military and commercial pilots are reporting seeing UAPs in flight.

"Government Breaks Silence" (Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10pm): Area 51, shrouded in secrecy for decades, is the focus of many UFO rumors.

The sophomore season of UFOS: INVESTIGATING THE UNKNOWN premiered on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT on National Geographic Channel. The truth behind the U.S. Government's secret Pentagon program on UAPs, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, otherwise known as UFO's, is exposed. The six episodes in Season 1 are:

"The UFO Whistleblower" (Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 9pm): Whistleblower testimony reignites a decades-long fight for transparency.

"Pilots Speak Out" (Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 9pm): Commercial pilots come forward about their encounters with UFOs.

"Scientists on the Cutting Edge" (Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 9pm): Scientists unveil cutting-edge technology helping in the search for UFOs.

"The Experiencers (Part 1)" (Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 9pm): People talk about close encounters they've had with UFO phenomena.

"The Experiencers (Part 2)" (Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 9pm): Reports from people who say they've been abducted are explored; a Harvard psychiatrist who takes them seriously comes under attack.

"Citizen Scientists Tackle the Phenomenon" (Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 9pm): No longer waiting for the government to share data, citizen scientists and private groups amplify the search for answers.
