Plot Synopsis

Mark Lilly is a human social worker with the Department of Integration in New York City, where he helps new citizens -- both human and "other" -- adapt to hectic life in the Big Apple. Mark is surrounded by a slew of other freaks, including: Randall Skeffington, Mark's recently undead and unemployed roommate who spends his days doing odd jobs and finding replacements for his decaying body parts; Callie Maggotbone, Mark's hell-spawn immediate supervisor -- and sometimes girlfriend -- who is conflicted by her human side; Leonard Powers, Mark's oft-drunk co-worker who tries to blend in -- even though he's a centuries old wizard; Twayne the Bone Raper, the overseer of the Department of Integration who would would rather vaporize the immigrants than help them; Frank Grimes, the human in charge of the Department of Integration's Law Enforcement Division who has utter disdain for the immigrants.
