Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, THE ULTIMATUM: MARRY OR MOVE ON is a reality series that six different couples who are on the verge of marriage. One partner is ready to get married; the other isn't quite as sure. An ultimatum is issued -- and in just over eight weeks, they must commit to marriage, or move on. In the meantime, each chooses a new potential partner from one of the other couples, in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different possible futures. The first eight episodes drop on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with the season finale and the reunion debuting one week later on April 13.

The sophomore season of THE ULTIMATUM: MARRY OR MOVE ON premiered on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 with eight new episodes on Netflix. One week later -- on Wednesday, August 30 -- the season finale and reunion show debuted. In Season 2, Nick & Vanessa Lachey welcome five different couples, who are on the verge of marriage. One partner is ready to get married, the other isn't quite as sure. An ultimatum is issued -- and in just over eight weeks, they must commit to marriage, or move on. Season 3 of THE ULTIMATUM: MARRY OR MOVE ON debuted on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 on Netflix, which released the first five episodes. Three additional episodes dropped the following Wednesday (December 11), and the final two installments -- the finale and the reunion -- premiered on Wednesday, December 18. Hosted again by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the new season features six couples on the verge of getting married, where one partner in each couple issues an Ultimatum. In just over eight weeks, they must decide to get married or move on. In the experiment, each person will choose a new potential partner to see what a trial marriage would look like before making their final life-changing decision. The six couples in Season 3 are:
