Plot Synopsis

When a Galician shipper and drug lord hiding his Alzheimer's disease plans to retire, his second-in-command plots to steal the empire from the heir. The series opens with a diagnosis spurring shipping magnate Nemo to make plans that unsettle his loved ones. Factory worker Lara fights to fulfill her comatose mother's wishes. Nemo tries to cover his tracks when a body and a missing Open Sea shipping container are discovered. Mario commits a cruel deed to win Nina's favor. Lara is forced to work for Tigre. Nina's reputation at the art gallery comes under fire. To cinch the hotel deal, Carlos must impress a young heiress. UNAUTHORIZED LIVING had its U.S. premiere on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the 13-episode first season.

Months later, imminent bankruptcy forces Nemo to sign away ownership of Open Sea, igniting a war between the Arteagas from Mexico and the Oeste locals. Marina targets a weak link who's protecting Nemo: Chon. Ferro is tricked into leading Monterroso to the boy who witnessed Lamas's murder.
