Plot Synopsis

UNCENSORED is a one-hour docuseries that dives deep into the lives of pop culture figures with the secrets, stories and scoop from the icons themselves. They speak directly and candidly about their personal triumphs and successes, the obstacles and challenges they have faced, and the pivotal moments that have shaped their lives and careers. No topic is off limits as they discuss issues relevant to today's national dialogue such as race relations, drugs and violence, and sexual harassment. The series opener features Tiffany Haddish, who might seem like she's living the good life as comedy's newest it-girl, but the talented comedienne's life wasn't always so charmed. Even before she was a teenager, Tiffany dealt with everything from teen bullying, to being in a nearly fatal car accident with her family that caused her mother to suffer brain trauma, to being put in foster care away from the rest of her siblings. Despite this, Tiffany persisted in her comedy career dreams and is proving to Hollywood that it's her time now. Subsequent episodes in the first season highlight the lives of Tamar Braxton (Feb 25), Rick Ross (Mar 4), Nia Long (Mar 11), Charlamagne Tha God (Mar 18), Le'Andria Johnson (Mar 25), NeNe Leakes (Apr 8), LaLa Anthony (Apr 15), and Snoop Dogg (Apr 22).

Season 2 of UNCENSORED premiered on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. The season opener features Nick Cannon, who was raised on two coasts and grew up balancing the gangs of San Diego with his father's ministry in North Carolina. Eager to escape the risk of the streets, he recognized his call to entertainment at an early age and spoke his success quickly into existence. Embracing an early achieved bubblegum persona, he works behind the scenes creating opportunities and jobs for comedians and entertainers -- his largest success is Wild N Out for MTV and his influence and talent reaching much farther than he is given credit for. UNCENSORED returned with new episodes on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. The popular show UNCENSORED resumes for its second season and explores the private lives of some of today's most notable personalities including comedian/radio host DL Hughley, American Idol Fantasia, legendary hip-hop producer Jermaine Dupri, actress Tasha Smith, reality TV star Tami Roman, actress/singer Naturi Naughton, the reigning king of urban gospel Kirk Franklin and singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. After a five-month break, UNCENSORED returned with new episodes on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on TV One. This new batch of episodes spotlight Tisha Campbell, Tyra Banks, LisaRaye McCoy, Niecy Nash, Lamar Odom and more. The fall season kicks off with an episode focused on Tisha Campbell, the epitome of survivor, after overcoming a lifetime of adversity and heartbreak. Impacted by a traumatic sexual assault at the age of 3, and while on an unexpected journey through autism, Tisha realized her life's mission would become to help others in need.

TV One premiered the third season of UNCENSORED on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT. The season opener features Larenz Tate, who is probably best known for his role as the smooth talking, poet-reciting Darius Lovehall from the cult classic film, Love Jones but, Larenz rose to fame after playing the role of O-Dog in the 1993 teen drama film Menace II Society. He has gone on to star in both iconic television series and movies that continue to move the culture. Later Season 3 episodes spotlight actor singer/actor Tyrese (Sep 13), rapper/TV personality Eve (Sep 20), producer/TV personality Yandy Smith-Harris (Sep 27), actress/choreographer/director Debbie Allen (Oct 4), actress/singer Jenifer Lewis (Oct 11), and actor Omari Hardwick (Oct 18). Plus, the new season features five bonus episodes, including Black Girl Magic (Oct 25), Scandals (Nov 1), Hip-Hip (Nov 8), Black Hollywood (Nov 15), and Big Break (Nov 22). UNCENSORED returned with new episodes on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. The mid-season premiere focuses on musical genius Teddy Riley. As the creator of New Jack Swing, there is no question about music producer, songwriter, and singer Teddy Riley's legacy. He solidified himself as a super producer by the age of 21, and went on to collaborate with the likes of Michael Jackson and Keith Sweat. In this episode of UNCENSORED, the singer gets candid about leaving Guy and Blackstreet to start a solo career, his brotherhood with Michael Jackson, and how the loss of a dear friend changed his perspective on life. UNCENSORED returned for its fourth season on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. In the season premiere, "Loretta Devine," from Broadway to the box office, Loretta Devine details her illustrious career in Hollywood which includes more than 100 roles in films and series like DREAMGIRLS, WAITING TO EXHALE, THIS CHRISTMAS, GREY'S ANATOMY, BLACK-ISH, and more. Season 4 also features: BeBe Winans (Sep 5), Tommy Davidson (Sep 12), Kym Whitley (Sep 19), Swizz Beatz (Sep 26), Anthony Hamilton (Oct 3), Lynn Whitfield (Oct 10), Raven-Symone (Oct 17), and Jeezy (Oct 24).

Season 5 of UNCENSORED debuted on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One, continuing to explore the lives of personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their success and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. The season opener highlights platinum-selling R&B singer Keyshia Cole. Through top selling albums and a hit TV show, Keyshia is known for her transparency and authenticity. She has always shared her life through music and TV, but she's back with much more to share. The new season also features: Stevie J (March 13), Master P (March 20), Taye Diggs (March 27), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (April 3), Cee-Lo (April 10), Erica Campbell (April 17), and Trina (April 24). After a five-month break, UNCENSORED returned with new episodes on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. This new installment focuses on Kadeem Hardison, who is best known for his iconic portrayal of Dwayne Wayne on the hit television show A DIFFERENT WORLD. Kadeem gets uncensored to talk about playing a beloved character on the show that influenced a generation. UNCENSORED returned for its sixth season on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on TV One. The new season continues to explore the lives of popular celebrities and personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their successes and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. The season opener features five-time Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter Tevin Campbell, who scored a string of R&B chart hits as a teen in the early to mid-1990s. Campbell transitioned from child singer to adult R&B crooner with hits such as "I'm Ready" and the cross generational hit "Can We Talk". Now, he gets UNCENSORED by talking about finding himself, his legendary career and more. Additional episodes highlight the careers of: Marques Houston (April 9); Sheryl Lee Ralph (April 16); Eric Benet (April 23); Meagan Good (April 30); and Lil Wayne (May 7).

On Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 10pm ET/PT, TV One premiered the seventh season of UNCENSORED. The series continues to explore the lives of some of today's most notable personalities as they provide first-hand accounts of their success and the obstacles they faced throughout their careers. The season debut episode highlights veteran actress, producer, director, and television host Vivica A. Fox. With an extensive body of work that encompasses television, stage, and film credits, Fox is also an actress, philanthropist and businesswoman.
