Plot Synopsis

Written, directed, and produced by Leanne Brennen, THE UNCOMMON HISTORY OF VERY COMMON THINGS is a half-hour documentary series that examines the surprising and often salacious history behind common everyday items that we take for granted in the modern world, including the bloody history of high heels, the controversial development of rum, and more. Each 22-minute episode features a different theme, such as game day, mornings, vices, high seas, date night, and more. The first five episodes dropped on Thursday, August 19, 2021 on Crackle, and the remaining five episodes debut on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
