Plot Synopsis

Created and executive produced by Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman, UNCOUPLED is a half-hour comedy series that centers on Michael, who thought his life was perfect until his husband blindsided him by walking out the door after 17 years. Overnight, Michael has to confront two nightmares -- losing what he thought was his soulmate and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City. The story opens with Michael planning an elaborate surprise party for Colin's milestone birthday, but the night takes a devastating turn after a shocking revelation. Reeling from the news of Colin's whereabouts, Michael tries to keep it together during a charity dinner attended by his rival and a sought-after client. While dealing with his demanding new client, Michael receives a crash course in how to use a hookup app -- and the importance of an intimate selfie. While feeling betrayed by a friend, Michael lunches with his mother, learns about Colin's new addition and confronts some hard truths about himself. All eight episodes of UNCOUPLED dropped on Friday, July 29, 2022 on Netflix.

UNCOUPLED made its linear television debut with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 9-10pm ET/PT on MTV.
