Plot Synopsis

Hosted by G. Garvin, each one-hour episode of UNDERGROUND BBQ CHALLENGE features two teams of local grill masters competing against each other, as two local judges decide which team is worthy of the $10,000 prize. In addition to grilling the main meal, the teams present menus that represent their neighborhoods. G. Garvin travels across America, stopping in a different city in each episode, including: Brooklyn, where neighborhood rivals Becky and Dan (and their teams) grill prime rib; Austin, TX, where the teams of rocker David and cowboy Chris grill brisket; Kansas City, where neighborhood rivals Jeff and Sara grill pork butt; and more towns across the United States, like New Orleans.
