Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Tom Delonge, UNIDENTIFIED: INSIDE AMERICA'S UFO INVESTIGATION is a one-hour docuseries that follows Luis 'Lue' Elizondo, as he exposes a series of startling encounters with UFOs and embarks on new investigations into these incidents -- with the help of Delonge (co-founder and President of To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science) and Chris Mellon (former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Intelligence). In December of 2017, "The New York Times" published a stunning front-page expose about the Pentagon's mysterious $22 million secret UFO program, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). Featuring an interview with Elizondo, a former military intelligence official and Special Agent In-Charge, who confirmed the existence of the hidden government program, the controversial story was the focus of worldwide attention. Previously run by Elizondo, AATIP was created to research and investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) including numerous videos of reported encounters, three of which were released to a shocked public in 2017. Elizondo resigned after expressing to the government that these UAPs could pose a major threat to our national security and not enough was being done to deal with them or address our potential vulnerabilities. DeLonge, Elizondo, Mellon and a trustworthy, connected team of investigators that includes retired Program Director for Advanced Systems at Lockheed Martin's Skunkworks and the Aerospace Division Director for To The Stars Academy, Steve Justice, renowned CIA researcher and quantum physicist, and Vice President of Science and Technology at To The Stars Academy, Hal Puthoff and retired senior intelligence service member of the Central Intelligence Agency and Vice President of Operations at To The Stars Academy, Jim Semivan, will break boundaries and perceived government taboo by disclosing information about efforts being made to change government policy surrounding these phenomena, as well as produce tangible evidence to build the most indisputable case for the existence and threat of UFOs ever assembled. In the series opener, "The UFO Insiders," U.S. Navy fight pilots tell Elizondo new details about the "tic-tac"-shaped UFO that was caught on film in 2004. Is this incident an indication of a larger threat to U.S. national security?

Season 2 of UNIDENTIFIED: INSIDE AMERICA'S UFO INVESTIGATION premiered on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10pm ET/PT on History Channel. In the season opener, "UFOs in Combat," everything we know about UFOS has changed. Now, the all-star team that got the U.S Navy to admit UFOs are real launches a new season of investigations aided by a fresh wave of exclusive, military eyewitnesses. These veterans testify to an extraordinary series of encounters between U.S. Military and UFOs dating to the Vietnam War. The team attempts to connect the dots. Are these the same unidentified craft shown in declassified U.S. Navy videos and have they been shadowing American forces for decades?

On Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 9-11pm ET/PT, History Channel premiered the Season 2 finale of UNIDENTIFIED: INSIDE AMERICA'S UFO INVESTIGATION, debuting back-to-back new episodes:

"Sightings Surge" (9pm): Lue Elizondo calls on a new technology to analyze a series of UFO videos all recorded in 2019 -- a year that featured a huge increase in UFO sightings. While previously focusing on U.S. Military eyewitnesses, the team broadens its focus to civilian accounts. Among the cases are a series of strange formations of craft reported by civilians in Colorado. Connections to UFO sightings by the U.S. Military are explored.

"Extraterrestrial Encounters" (10pm): When Lue Elizondo was part of the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) he identified five observable characteristics of UFOs, dubbed the "five observables." But there is a so-called sixth observable Elizondo began to investigate -- an invisible threat these craft may pose. On the trail of this phenomenon, he uncovers never-before-told accounts by U.S. Air Force personnel stationed at the USA's most sensitive sites.
