Plot Synopsis

Based on Deborah Feldman's 2012 memoir of the same name, UNORTHODOX is a four-part series that centers on Esty, a Hasidic Jewish woman in Brooklyn, who flees to Berlin after a fruitless first year in an arranged marriage and is taken in by a group of musicians -- until her past comes calling. Esty's Berlin friends challenge many of her old beliefs but also provide a safe space to explore new ways of being. On Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all four episodes of UNORTHODOX.
