Plot Synopsis

MTV UNPLUGGED feature today's biggest artists, restoring key creative elements that made the original format so groundbreaking -- focusing on acoustic music concerts that showcase musicianship and songcraft -- while resetting the show in the modern-day, multi-platform video world. Plus, in this new version of UNPLUGGED, each show is held at a different location that has special significance for the musician. In each one-hour episode, one artist or band performs stripped-down sets of new tracks and fan favorites, sometimes with the help of special guests. Featured artists include: Shawn Mendes (Los Angeles' Theater at Ace Hotel); Bleachers, with special guests Lorde and Carly Rae Jepsen (Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ); and more.

BTS will bring its own iteration of the iconic Unplugged format to life straight from Seoul, South Korea - offering their fans a front-row seat to never-before-seen versions of the group's most career-defining hits and songs from their latest album BE (Essential Edition), in intimate settings. BE, first released as the Deluxe Edition last November, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album includes the No.1 hit singles "Dynamite" and "Life Goes On."
