Plot Synopsis

UNRAVELING THE COSMOS is a 3D-stereo CGI series, billed as the first native 4K project for television, which explores the birth, evolution and end of phenomena that make up the universe. By using stereoscopic 3D and Ultra HD shots, this three-part series answers questions like: what's the view from inside a nebula?; what does traveling at the speed of light really look like?; and how hot is the planet Mercury? Each one-hour episode focuses on a different topic: "Distance & Scale," which puts the scale of space into perspective; "Forces," which explores the forces of the universe; and "Extreme Environments," which chronicles space's extreme environments. 3net aired one installment of this series at 9pm ET/6pm PT on consecutive nights on December 25, 26 and 27, 2013.
