Plot Synopsis

VACATION RENOVATION is a series of half-hour episodes that are condensed versions of the one-hour series VACATION RENOVATION. Contractor and real-estate expert Matt Blashaw helps a couple find a vacation house and then transforms it into a property that earns enough rental income to cover the home's cost, allowing the owners to live there for free the rest of the year. Couples tour two homes in VACATION RENOVATION -- instead of three homes in VACATAION HOUSE FOR FREE -- and the makeover process is shorter. DIY Network premiered back-to-back installments of VACATION RENOVATION on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from Noon-1pm ET/PT, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the first episode, Aaron and Elise want a weekend home in SF where they can catch some waves, and then, in the second episode, Jim and Lara Hicks look at two homes with pools on Marco Island, FL.
