Plot Synopsis

PASS THE BUCKET reveals the humanitarian side of today's most celebrated action sport athletes, musicians, artists and foundations working to be the change. Featured stars for Season 1 included: Amy Purdy, a snowboarder, skateboarder, makeup artist, actress, model and is also a double leg amputee; Fletcher Dragge, who originally started Pennywise from a garage in Redondo Beach, CA with the help of his good friend Ken Seaton and is now helping smaller bands; Tony Alva, one of the the most influential skateboarders of all time, who went from being an original Z-boy to a life of drug addiction and alcoholism; Stephen Murray, professional BMX rider & three-time U.S. Gold Medalist who was paralyzed from the neck down after a bike crash; Dennis Martinez, one of the original Vans-sponsored skateboarders in the 1970s, who established the Training Center in San Diego, A Drug and Rehabilitation Center in Spring Valley; Ryan Hudson, a snowboarding prodigy who had spent most of his life in homeless shelters before being introduced to the Outdoor Outreach Program; and Crys Worley, founder of A.Skate Foundation. In Season 2, the series turned the cameras on: Leila Hurst, a surfer from Kauai who won the Vans Triple Crown of surfing "Rookie of the Year" in 2010; Devon Blood, a Bay Area a 17-year old singer-songwriter phenom who was the victim of a near-fatal gunshot wound to the head; Henry Rollins, lead singer of Black Flag and social activist; Tess Dunn, a 17-year old singer-songwriter phenom; Danny Simmons, a visual artist and community builder who founded Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation with media mogul Russell Simmons and Joseph (Rev. Run) Simmons of the legendary hip-hop group RUN-DMC; and Jeff Ament, a world-class bassist and co-founder of Pearl Jam.
