Plot Synopsis

VEGAS CAKES is a half-hour reality series that follows cake artists in their secret back room at Freed's Bakery in Las Vegas, as they create the most fun, outrageous and elaborate custom cakes in Sin City. From a giant Cadillac Cake for the Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekend and a stunt man's birthday cake illustrating a legendary record jump to cakes for Las Vegas legends like Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Newton and Penn and Teller, Freed's sugary creations wow their guests every time. In the series opener, "Vegas Rocks," the team rocks around the clock to deliver a three-foot-long custom car, an enchanting unicorn, and an eye-popping mash up of junk food and fitness. Then, in the second episode of the double premiere, "Alien Baseball and Cirque Cake," the stakes are high in Vegas when Cirque du Soleil's production of KA is celebrating its 6000th performance with an epic cake and Max stresses out making sure the delivery isn't a disaster. Then it's on to a gravity-defying alien baseball mashup for the local baseball team, the Las Vegas 51s.

Season 2 of VEGAS CAKES premiered on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Groundhog and Fairy Cake," the team at Freed's Bakery creates an edible village of fairies with details so fine that fondant artist Aubrie Virgin needs a magnifying glass to paint them. The ultimate University of Oregon fan gets the perfect cake for her birthday. Then, the First Friday art festival and Groundhog Day collide and the staff builds a cake so big and heavy that Max Fried needs a forklift to deliver it.
