Plot Synopsis

Each year since 1995, Victoria's Secret has held a fashion show -- except in 2004 when The Angels toured through four American cities instead of walking down the catwalk. When the VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW first started, the production was a standard runway show with models showing off the company's new underwear. By 1997, the show became a must-attend event for celebutantes, musicians, and actors, with a who's who of supermodels on the catwalk being filmed for videos shown in Victoria's Secret stores throughout the world. In February 1999, the event was webcast during the Super Bowl halftime, with nearly 1.5 million people logging on to see the live show. After one more webcast in 2000 -- and after more than two million people watched the fashion show online -- ABC broadcast the VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW on television for the first time in 2001, reaching an audience of 12.3 million viewers. In 2002, the event switched from ABC to CBS, which has broadcast the fashion show since. During its lifetime, the VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW has evolved into an extravaganza, featuring musical acts, world-famous models, pink carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes peek at the event, which is taped and shown nearly one month after it takes place. As part of this fashion show, one model is selected to wear a fantasy bra -- a bra encrusted with gold, silver and thousands of precious gems -- which is worth more than $2 million. Each year, Victoria's Secret releases a different fantasy bra, including:
1996: Million Dollar Miracle Bra, a $1 million bra worn by Claudia Schiffer
1997: Diamond Dream Bra ($3 million; Tyra Banks)
1998: Dream Angel Fantasy Bra ($5 million; Daniela Pestova)
