Plot Synopsis

Five years after VOLTRON: DEFENDER OF THE UNIVERSE, a new evil threatens the galaxy, and the universe is once again in need of its true defender. The original five Voltron Force pilots return, with three new cadets, as they work together and combine to form Voltron, a mighty metallic warrior capable of inflicting colossal blows, making giant leaps, and is armed with lasers, sabers, missiles, and the invincible Blazing Sword. Fueled by the Power of the Lions, found within the new Voltron Force cadets, Voltron now has the power to reconfigure, allowing each of the five lion robots to form the head, and arming Voltron with the specific powers of that lion. The five pilots are: Keith, The Black Lion, is the team leader and Voltron head with a shock tail and a dual swords Voltcom weapon; Lance, The Red Lion, is the hot-headed right arm of Voltron with a precision laser tail and dual pistols/hot hands Voltcom weapon; Allura, The Blue Lion, is the future Queen of Arus and the right leg of Voltron with a freeze beam tail and a bow and arrow/whip Voltcom weapon; Pidge, The Green Lion, is the team's super genius and left arm of Voltron with tail blades and smart stars Voltcom weapon; and Hunk, The Yellow Lion, is a gearhead, rock-anthem writer and left leg of Voltron with hammer tail and a claw hammer Voltcom weapon. The three junior pilots help unlock incredible new powers, discover secret origins, and fight to earn their role in the legendary Voltron Force, and they are: Daniel, a mischievous daredevil and natural leader with firing speed claws for his Voltcom weapon; Vince, a descendent of the ancient people responsible for the creation of Voltron with energy blasts for his Voltcom weapon; and Larmina, the niece of Allura and master of martial arts with a battle staff for her Voltcom weapon.
