Plot Synopsis

WALKER, a reimagining of the long-running series WALKER, TEXAS RANGER, follows Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there's harder work to be done at home. He'll attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son Arlo and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter Stella and navigate clashes with his family -- ADA brother Liam, who stepped in during Walker's absence; his perceptive mother, Abeline; and his traditional rancher father, Bonham. Walker's former colleague, Larry James, is now his Ranger Captain. Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner, Micki (one of the first women in Texas Rangers' history), while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife's death.

The sophomore season of WALKER debuted on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. In the season opener, "They Started It," Walker realizes his life is at risk and confronts Captain James who confesses to him the real reason Micki went undercover. Meanwhile, the Davidsons return home which sets Abeline on edge as there is dark history between the two families. Trey almost blows Micki's cover. After a five-week break, WALKER returned with new episodes on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. In the winter premiere, "Where Do We Go from Here," things are still tense between Walker and Liam after Liam called in a false warrant on Dan Miller (guest star Dave Annable). However, things take a turn for the worse when Captain James informs the brothers that Serano's (guest star Henderson Wade) lawyers are using Liam's mistake as a way to set the criminal free, putting the entire Walker family in danger.

Season 3 of WALKER premiered on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. The season opener, "World on a String," picks up where Season 2 ended. It's graduation day and the Walker family is turning a corner into a seemingly hopeful future that is until Cordell goes missing, and his mysterious captors are trying to break him down physically and mentally. Meanwhile, Captain James, Cassie and the rest of the Rangers have all hands on deck to bring Cordell home safely but Stella has ideas of her own on how she can help. After a two-month break, WALKER returned with new episodes on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on The CW. In the winter premiere, "Cry Uncle," in the aftermath of the Walker's dramatic Thanksgiving dinner with Abeline's traumatic hospitalization, the family rings in the new year with members of the Walker family resolving to make better choices across the board. While Cordell throws himself into family matters, Cassie pulls Trey into a case tracking down an elusive tech mogul. But Cassie gets the sense she's in hot water with Captain James. Aaron Carew wrote the episode directed by Lauren Petzke.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 8pm ET/PT, The CW premiered the fourth and final season of WALKER, which picks up five after the end of Season 3, with Walker in an era of change. His children are fleeing the nest, his romance with Geri is taking hold, and turmoil is finding Ranger HQ. Ever since the day his daughter Stella was born, Walker had an idea of what the next 20 years of his life would like, and now he's suddenly in uncharted territory -- in more ways than one. As Walker struggles to accept this new future, a case from his past threatens to upend his life -- and the lives of those he loves. Because, as Walker feared at Captain James' wedding, a serial killer they dubbed "The Jackal" is very much back. With a haunt-your-dreams MO, Walker knows this case nearly broke James in the past and resolves to do everything in his power to keep his friend from learning about the killer's return until it's absolutely essential. He can't let James spiral again. But you know what they say about secrets. When Cassie returns to Austin after her stint with the FBI task force, Walker and Trey read her in but swear her to secrecy. Cassie also is introduced to their investigative partner from Corpus Cristi PD, David Luna. Though the work Cassie and Luna find themselves in is harrowing, the tension between the two is equally undeniable. Meanwhile Stella is off at her first semester of college. Even though it's local, she's distant from the family as she deals with the fallout of the break-in, she and Sadie walked in on at the end of last season. It may have been self-defense, but did Stella really kill a man? What happened to the body after she left? Stella is wracked with guilt. And since she lied to Liam and to the police about the events of that night, Stella hasn't been able to talk to anyone about it. As she, Sadie, and eventually August learn more about the break-in, it will lead them onto a dangerous journey deep into the Walker and Rawlins shared family history...

Bonham and Abby admit to each other what they really want for the next phase of their lives. August's graduation brings everyone together to celebrate.
