Plot Synopsis

Created, written and directed by Nida Manzoor, WE ARE LADY PARTS is a half-hour comedy series that follows an all-female Muslim punk band named We Are Lady Parts. When the band recruits geeky student Amina Hussein to be their unlikely lead guitarist, worlds collide as she is swept up in their joyful, anarchic energy while navigating cultural differences -- and vomit-inducing stage fright. WE ARE LADY PARTS had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, June 3, 2021, as Peacock released all six episodes of the first season.

Season 2 of WE ARE LADY PARTS debuted on Thursday, May 30, 2024 on Peacock, which released all six episodes of the new season. The new season sees the band return with a renewed artistic mission after the high of their first UK tour, only to find a rival band threatens their delicate status quo. As the reality of chasing success sets in, Lady Parts embark on recording their first album, juggling personal ambitions and deciding whether 'making it big' is really what they wanted. Education activist Malala Yousafzai and comedian Meera Syal guest star in Season 2.
