Plot Synopsis

Four friends -- three single, one married -- escape their daily stress, day jobs and responsibilities by playing in Mother of the Bride, Seattle's premier band for weddings, bar mitzvahs, high-school reunions and even bachelorette parties. These four occasionally reckless young men can't figure out their own lives, but they have figured out that weddings are the wildest parties -- the groupies are bridesmaids, the drinks are free, and there's a paycheck waiting for them at the end of the night. Mother of the Bride includes: perennial bachelor Tommy, who is the lead vocalist playing the crowd; Tommy's best friend Eddie, a married father of two, who shreds it on guitar; Tommy's rock-obsessed brother Barry, behind Eddie on drums, whose mission is to bring the arena-rock spectacle to black-tie events; and new member Stevie, a bassist and session musician, who's jammed with all the big rock giants but has never been part of a band. Now the band is ready to take things to the next level, and that means attracting the attention of top event Roxie Rutherford, and her novice associate, Rachel, while keeping Eddie out of trouble with his wife, Ingrid.
